In 1985, after 10 years with the government, Iris Carterrealized she was only going to advance so far. This was a time when therewasn't a lot of advancement for women; especially in the IT and Financial worldand so she realized she had to make a way for herself and others along the way.With many setbacks, disappointments and closed doors, Iris persevered until1994 when she realized there was a need to help small business owners who hadsuffered other setbacks of their own, such as cash flow issues, unable to paytheir vendors and suppliers, she developed a strategy to help small businessowners by negotiating their debt into manageable payments while still allowingthe small business owner to stay in business.

Word got around about the service and there were numerousarticles written by the Washington Post and other major newspapers of howbusiness owners could now stay in business, structure their vendor and supplierpayments and control cash flow.

From there, Iris was able to work with small business ownersto help them build their business credit profile, acquire funding to expand andgrow their businesses. Armed with many "how to "instructionals, countlesshours of small business mentoring and coaching, as well as, teaching at thelocal community college, she has been able to help many small business owners.She has written numerous articles about how to build business credit, what tolook for when applying for business credit without using your personal creditand many others.

Iris Carter's determination and persistence searching forways to help small business owners overcome financial shortage and herphilosophy "do whatever it takes to get to the next level of success" led herto become one of the most experienced small business coach to talk aboutbusiness credit.
